Media CenterThe mission of the Braelinn Elementary Media Program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. The Library Media Center (LMC) is an integral and indispensable component of the school and the curriculum, and the facilities that make up this center are critical. The LMC is no longer a room simply housing the instruction materials of a school. It is the center from which there is a constant flow of materials, equipment, services, and learning experiences to various areas, students, faculty, and staff of the school. The Library Media Center Staff is composed of one media specialist and one media paraprofessional. The media specialist works to develop, administer, and implement a media program that reflects and supports the educational goals and objectives of the school. She is a professional educator and librarian who is a key person in the overall program of the school. The media paraprofessional assists with implementing the daily routine of the media program. She is indispensable.

The hotline is designed for crisis
prevention. If students know of an unsafe situation in school (weapons violations, bomb threats, drugs or alcohol, bullying,
etc.), they can anonymously pass on that information through the hotline, initiating immediate and appropriate action.
The Braelinn Elementary School Library Media Center has a collection that includes over 17,000 resource items available to support curricular instruction.
Our primary objective is to support the curriculum by encouraging the access, evaluation, and use of materials in varied formats to help students become
better learners, readers, and citizens. Our school library media center aims to be the central core of instruction and reading through the development of
activities that are an extension of classroom work.
