Something for Nothing!

How do you raise money for a school without spending any extra money?  Through the use of Scrip, which is just another word for gift certificates.  Scrip is an ongoing fundraising program that has been very successful during the past three years. Last year we raised around $7,000 for the school.  The money went to purchase much-needed playground equipment for our kids.

How does Scrip work?  The stores give the school a discount because the gift certificate is a pre-sale for them and because we buy in large quantities.  The discount, which averages anywhere from 1.5% to 16%, is the net contribution retained by the school.  Therefore, you truly do not pay anything more than what you would normally.  You still can buy sale items, get change back (in limited amounts), and use coupons.  Some of the certificates have an expiration date, but many do not.

To participate, all you have to do is fill out a Scrip form, attach a check, and send it to school with your child by the deadline. We will fill your order, and either send it home or let you know it is ready for pick-up in about a week.

Please help us help the school by participating in this fundraising program.  The money raised is used to purchase books for the Media Center, toys for the playground and many other worthwhile items that our children benefit from greatly!
