General Board Meeting

Officer Reports:

·       President:

BIG NEWS!!!! New gym floor has been selected and will be installed over Christmas Break. A very generous Braelinn family has offered to match any parent donations up to $6,000 which will pay for the balance of the gym floor. Thank you!!

·       Vice President: 

-Clinic had 348 visits in just August!!!

-Boys clothes needed: Sizes 5-10

-Chickenpox vaccine scarce- check your medical provider for updated vaccination requirements

·       Treasurer: No report given

·       Corresponding Secretary: Card and flowers sent to Vicki Porter for the loss of her mother.

·       Principal Report

-New cafeteria tables-convert to benches!

-Suszanne Cato is back as our cafeteria manager.

-Mrs. Bell hurt her hand by tripping to answer the phone.

-Mrs. Christensen reported CogAT was complete, and ITBS begins next week (Sept. 17-21st).

·       Teacher Reports

-Coach Collins will hold contest with gym floor demolition.

All proceeds will go toward the funds for the floor.

·       Committee Reports Given:

-Commitment: Box Tops: 4,000 to date given. Watch expiration dates.

-Tyson Chicken Labels: $0.24 /label. Include all of the box top.

-Update Kroger card with Braelinn’s code.

-Publix keychain: pick up at PTO table.

-goodsearch.com:  search engine through yahoo which gives back to the school

-Courtyard:

-September 21st, please meet at school to help spread pinestraw.

-There will be a “to do” list posted for various things needed to be done in the courtyard.

-Cultural Arts: Jan Oden reported some cultural arts programs that will be coming to Braelinn. Thank you to the Shoaf family for donating two programs bought from our Spring Auction.

-Fall Fundraiser: Innisbrook is due Tuesday, September 18th. In lieu of purchasing Innisbrook, cash donations are accepted.

-Fall Movie Night: October 12th movie is free. Funds will be raised by concessions. DJ will provide 2 hours of entertainment.

Students will vote on movie.

-Holiday Festival: December 8th, 9-12.
